Dr Ben Lane is the founding director of both Ecolane Transport Consultancy and WhatGreenCar.com.

Realising that climate change and fuel supply were issues that were going to hit the auto industry particularly hard, Ben founded Ecolane Limited in 1999 to advise government, local authorities and businesses on how to reduce their transport fuel use and emissions footprint.

Now in its twelfth year, Ecolane has build up a strong reputation for in-depth analysis and has worked with many key players in both the public and private sectors.

More recently, in partnership with colleague Dan Fallon of Search-Star, in 2006 Ben also founded WhatGreenCar.com, the website that provides free and easy-to-use environmental ratings for every car available in the UK. In the two years since its launch, as motorists interest in both the cost of fuel and green issues has increased, the site has proved to be particularly well timed.

Seb Goldin is an Ecolane Associate and the Managing Director of Business Driver.

A graduate of Leeds University and Cranfield Business School (MBA), Seb has over 15 years leadership experience, running businesses in Corporate Road Safety, Transport and Logistics, and Fleet & Road Safety, with expertise in Strategy, Change Management, Technology, and Marketing & Sales.

Seb started his career with roles in the Travel Industry, followed by Financial Services, with commercial roles at Zurich Insurance, followed by Fleet and Logistics leadership roles at Hertz Rent a Car and Royal Mail.

Most recently Seb was Managing Director of the Driver Risk Management businesses owned by the Institute of Advanced Motorists, IAM Fleet Training UK & Ireland and Drive & Survive.
